COPY ANALYSIS
The Boring Marketing Detector.
Paste your website copy. We'll find the banned phrases, the vague claims, and the sentences that could have been written by anyone. Then we'll rewrite the worst one.
What does the Boring Marketing Detector check?
- ✦
Banned phrases. A fixed list of stock phrases, from “world-class” to “in today's fast-paced world”, matched word for word. No AI involved, so the same copy always gets the same list.
- ✦
Vague claims. Claims with nothing behind them a buyer could check, like “industry-leading results” or “we deliver quality”.
- ✦
Anyone-could-say-it sentences. Sentences a competitor could paste onto their own site without changing a word.
- ✦
Filler. Words that take up space and say nothing.
- ✦
One rewrite. The worst sentence rewritten to be specific, if one needs it. Where it needs a fact only you know, it leaves a [placeholder] instead of inventing one. Copy that is already sharp gets no rewrite.
How does it work?
- 01
Paste one section of copy, up to 4,000 characters.
- 02
The stock-phrase list runs first. Then an AI model reads the copy for vague claims and generic sentences.
- 03
You get a score out of 100 for how interchangeable the copy is, every problem quoted back to you, and a rewrite of the worst line when it needs one.

- Score
- 92/100. This could be any agency's homepage. Strip out the buzzwords and there's nothing left that tells me what you actually do or who you help.
- Banned phrases
- we've got you covered · tailored solutions · passionate about · team of experts · results-driven · next level
- Vague claim
- “delivers innovative, tailored solutions that drive real results” No specifics on what results, for whom, or how innovation is measured.
- Filler
- “take your brand to the next level” Meaningless direction. What does 'next level' mean in business terms?
- Worst line, rewritten
- “Partner with us to take your brand to the next level.” “We've helped [X] companies increase [metric] by [%] in [timeframe].”
Six findings in all; two are shown. The same check on a specific, numbers-first paragraph scored 8, flagged nothing and rewrote nothing.
